About Me
A native of Split, Croatia, Antea was in the top 20 players throughout her entire junior career. She was nationally ranked 15th under 12 years old, as well as 9th under 14 years. Her ETA (European tennis association) ranking was 190. And her ITF ranking was 1219.
Dedic has won multiple junior tennis singles and doubles tournaments under 12, 14, 16 and 18.
At the age of 14, Antea picked up a sport of kickboxing, with the main goal of improving her tennis fitness, but couple years later she’s already collected few national titles as well as few medals from European and World championships.
She realized that contact sports are something she wants to pursue her sport career in, so she joined a local rugby club. Not too long after, Antea became a captain of the national team and has remained one for the next 7 years.
In 2013 she has decided to cross a pond and get her education while playing tennis.
She played for Cumberland University of Nashville as well as University of Incarnate Word and has been named Mid-South Player of the week multiple times in her career. She was voted First Team All Mid-South Conference. Her freshman and sophomore year she went 16-3 in singles and 19-3 in doubles. She has also been member of a dean’s list few years in a row.
Antea got her education in psychology as well as sport and exercise science with a minor in nutrition. She has helped a lot of kids and adults with their diet plans as well as their fitness path.
Antea is also a strength and conditioning coach. She’s passionate about fitness and loves to teach kids about importance of healthy lifestyle.
Antea is a multi-sport athlete and has vast amount of knowledge about individual and team sports. She is still playing league tennis matches and is a part of professional premier level rugby team with years of experience under her belt.
